Isha Kaur Weiand: photographer, wife, mom to a toddler & a 8 year old pup.

I am Isha (Kaur Weiand), a photographer, a mom to a toddler and a puppy + wife to Tim aka my Texan, a self-professed (tiny amount of education too) astrophysics nerd, and previous Tech person. I went to school for a Degree in IT (Database Programming/Web Programming), entered the big corporate world but craved a creative outlet. Since I was 15, I worked as a wedding photographer for my Dad’s side hustle, and it was only natural to transition it to a full-time business with my brother, AISM Photography. We had fun photographing intimate and boisterous South Asian weddings, but change was knocking on my door. I found my person, had a baby and photography started to change for me. Having the opportunity to freelance for TimesNow out of NYC, I was able to explore my photojournalism with assignments from Capitol Hill all the way to the White House during President Obama’s administration.

Soon after, I moved to the Pacific Northwest and it all changed. I was no longer Isha of AISM Photography but I was able to redefine what my focus in photography would look like. I took my camera and started taking photos of my 10 month old son outdoors. My family became my subject, as well the beauty that is Oregon. 

I have photographed weddings here in the PNW as well as families and events. I hope you enjoy the photos I take along the way. I am no longer JUST a wedding photographer, I like to consider myself a life photographer - of family, love, passions, and the world. I take my time now with less subjects, more intimate moments, and you. You will find I’d rather hang out and photograph your story, your family, or your idea.
